I grew up in Sioux City, Iowa. I am from a family of nine children, five boys and four girls. After graduating from
Heelan High School in 1967, I entered the Servants of Mary Community. Our motherhouse is located in Omaha, Nebraska.
I received my B.S. degree from the College of St Mary’s in 1971 and taught first grade for over thirty years in our
schools in Omaha, Iowa and Colorado.
Each child I taught was a blessing in my life. They taught me much more than I ever taught them.
From 1989-1990, I was Coordinator of our motherhouse, which involved caring for the retired and elderly sisters of my community. In 1996 I received my Masters Degree in the CSP program at Creighton University, in Omaha.
From 2000-2007, I had the privilege of being the Co-Director for the Servants of Mary Associate Program, along with doing spiritual direction and retreat work. Once again, I was touched by the sharing of our associates on a spiritual level and their desire to grow in their own personal relationship with God.
I love to play cards, especially bridge. I enjoy being out in nature, being with my family and community. I look forward to learning and sharing with all who will be a part of my life as I join the ministry here at the Jesuit Retreat Center.
